I've had this mouse for years and it hasn't done anything too irritating to piss me off, but now recently whenever I go onto the Internet my mouse keeps doing these weird things. These weird things include:

1. Opening up more than one tab on my Internet browser (which so happens to be Mozilla Firefox)
I click open new tab, and 3 times out of 5, my mouse ends up opening 3 or more tabs instead of just the one. :/

2. I try highlighting text from websites, text boxes or whatever to either copy and edit, move or switch, or just because I feel like highlighting text, and 8 times out of 10 my mouse keeps highlighting the ENTIRE paragraph or text on that page. For example, say there was text saying "I like potatoes because they taste good." If I try highlighting the "I like potatoes" part, my mouse almost ALWAYS ends up highlighting the ENTIRE sentence, and or flashes the highlighted area multiple times before releasing. And if I un-click the selected area, my mouse ends up just selecting the entire area anyways even if that's not what I wanted.

3. I notice that if I'm on certain websites like deviantart and I try closing messages, sometimes my mouse ends up glitching and ends up closing messages I never wanted to close.

4. If I'm on facebook and I decide to browse through friends' photos, my mouse does this annoying thing where it skips photos and just basically glitches, causing me to have to go back because I missed the previous photo or photos. Example: I'm on number 1 out of 25 in an album, I click the "next" button and my mouse almost ALWAYS skips to photo 3 or something.

I need not say more, 'cause the bottom line is my mouse is glitching and I want to know why! I notice that I've had this glitch before but it some how corrected itself, but now it's back and it's rather annoying.

No I did NOT install any new programs before I got this weird glitch. I only had two updates and they were for my anti-virus software and my internet browser. Now can someone please tell me what's wrong or if they've experienced the same thing?
